Therapy with children and adolescents involves empowering clients who are often not in control of their environment, even more so than with adult clients. Therapy can be beneficial to children who have experienced trauma or adverse experiences such as bullying, display symptoms of anxiety or depression, show behavioral challenges at home or school, struggle with attachment, and/or other relational or emotional concerns. At LWL, we believe we can serve your family and your child through assessment, diagnosis (if needed), while offering individual therapy, group therapy, skills classes, and family therapy in an effort to improve family dynamics and levels of individual functioning. If in the client(s)’ best interest (and with permission) we will also consult with other role players, which could include; teachers, school counselors, pediatricians, etc. for collaborative treatment planning.
