Therapy with children and adolescents involves empowering clients who are often not in control of their own environment, even more so than with adult clients. Therapy can be beneficial to children who have experienced trauma or adverse experiences such as bullying, children with symptoms of anxiety or depression, behavioral challenges at home or school, attachment struggles, and other relational or emotional concerns. At LWL, we believe we can serve your family and your child through assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, skills classes, and family therapy in an effort to improve family dynamics and levels of individual functioning within the family. If it is in the client(s)’ best interest (and with permission, of course), we will work hard to coordinate the success of children, adolescents, and families with all relevant family members, teachers, and other care providers as designated through collaborative treatment planning.
