We encounter many transitions in our lives. Some are considered major, but all can be stressful. Even when everything about the transition goes smoothly, there can still be feelings of intense anxiety, stress, and depression. These feelings can impact our relationships, interfere with work, and compromise our ability to fulfill daily responsibilities.
I have worked with individuals and families coping with stress, anxiety, and depression from life transitions as well as severe mental health diagnoses. I have a passion for assisting women through different transitions in their lives, including career transitions, family building, infertility, loss, grief, crisis, and postpartum depression. As a counselor I am trained in the treatment and diagnosis of mental health disorders; however, I find it most beneficial to use and highlight an individual’s strengths to enhance growth and overall well-being.
My goal is to empower my clients to achieve their goals. To assist you in that process, I utilitze techniques and approaches from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.
