Have you been called impulsive? Dramatic?
Do you find that you feel emotions more strongly than others – anxiety, sadness, anger, fear, even love?
It can feel as though you’re being pulled around by your emotions. It might feel like they are in charge of you, instead of the other way around. This can affect your relationships, work, school, and life in general. I can help!
I work with teens and young adults who are struggling with managing their emotions, especially when this impacts relationships with family and social circles, work performance, or school work. I will partner with you and provide you with unconditional acceptance, commitment, and support as we work together toward positive change. We will explore the root causes of emotional challenges and focus on developing skills to overcome them.
Often, emotional struggles can be caused by past or present events that have resulted in lasting impacts. I can help you with processing lingering and unresolved emotions, identifying current impacts, and learning to thrive after a traumatic experience.
I am happy to work with clients in the LGBTQ community.
