In my experience working with clients, one statement has been a driving force in treatment: “Do the next right thing.” While life will continue to throw us challenges I believe that we have the ability to continue to evolve and grow, no matter our hurdles. Therapy provides an opportunity for you to have a sounding board, explore your strengths, and develop a plan for conquering your hurdles. I enjoy working for you and with you to support your process. I believe the therapeutic relationship is collaborative, built on trust, compassion, and unconditional support. I also believe change does not happen in a vacuum and the success of changes being maintained requires looking at your support systems outside of session (ie. community, family, relationships, school, etc) and finding ways to thrive within your environment. I will work with you to find personal strength, develop balance, and identify purpose.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I provide a systemic and strength focused approach to addressing individual, couple, and family troubles including life stressors, trauma, substance use, eating disorders, and marital discord. I also have specialized training, experience, and supervision in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and have worked in a variety of treatment settings that allows for perspective unique to our field. I look forward to an opportunity to work with you!
