Emotional Regulation

Persistent difficulty in evaluating and controlling emotional reactions. Contributing factors may include the inability to identify or put a name to how they are feeling, explain why, and/or regulate its intensity and control over their behaviors.

Common mood dysregulations may include: mood swings, emotional outbursts, internalizing emotional experiences, bursts of anger, inappropriate denial, attempts to manipulate, passive-aggressive behavior, all often interfering with relationships, school, and employment
