As we learn to accept circumstances that cannot be changed, we must also learn new ways to make effective changes where we can. I work with individuals to learn and practice new skills to improve tolerating intense emotions, changing maladaptive behaviors, and improving effective communication. I utilize trauma-informed care, child-centered play therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapies for children, adolescents, and adults.

I have experience working with a diverse population of children (2+) and adolescents with a variety of complex emotional and behavioral considerations in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

I have many years of experience working with adults and children who have experienced trauma. I also have experience and interest in working with children with “acting out,” antisocial, and aggressive behaviors. Furthermore, I enjoy working with individuals learning to overcome mood disorders, dissociative disorders, emotional disturbance, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive behavior, grief, psychosis, depression, self-injurious behavior, adjustment, attachment, and related concerns.

I provide an individualized, strengths-focused approach to counseling. As I facilitate the therapeutic process, I hope to empower you and/or your child to make the changes that you want to make and help you reach your full potential! I look forward to working with you!
